Humanoid is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to build and run the system that automatically tests robot hardware before code merges. You will lead hands-on test automation for physical products, wire a bench, debug across industrial buses, and write robust Python or C++ pipelines.
This role requires judgment on flaky tests, distinguishing a bad part from a bad design, and collaborating with AI-assisted tooling to triage failures and read logs.

This role is about building and running the system that tests robot hardware automatically before code merges. A strong candidate has years of hands on test automation for physical products, can wire a bench and debug over industrial buses, and writes solid Python or C++ for pipelines. The work also calls for judgment about flaky tests and the ability to tell a bad part from a bad design.
AI tools are treated as part of the daily toolkit here, used for writing test platforms and for triaging failures and reading logs. The automation layer decides what gets checked and how fast, while the human still designs the rigs, sets the safety limits, and judges whether a failure is real. Physical validation on real robots stays the human anchored part.
A person in this role would learn to apply AI assistance across test infrastructure work, from generating platform code to sorting through large log volumes. Building that skill means practicing with coding assistants on pipeline and scripting tasks and using them to speed up failure analysis. The sim to real comparison work also gives exposure to how learned control policies are checked against real hardware.
