Job summary

Senra Systems, Inc. is building a hands-on Senior Robotics Engineer role focused on owning robotic systems for our production lines.

You will drive the automation program, prototype cells, and deploy reliable, repeatable solutions in a real manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with senior engineers and the Head of AI & Robotics to advance the program, mentoring others, and delivering production-ready software, firmware, and data.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying robotic systems on production lines.
• Track record of rapid prototyping, real-hardware testing, and iterative improvement.
• Experience programming industrial or collaborative robot arms (UR, FANUC, ABB, KUKA).
• Perception and controls experience on real robots, from sensing to feedback loops.
• Exposure to learning-based robotics in production, research, or personal projects.
• Strong Python and C++, plus ROS 2 and related tooling.
• Mechanical design capability for fixtures and end effectors in CAD.
• Self-starter with end-to-end ownership and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Own robotic line cells from concept to proven on-line implementation.
• Handoff cells to industrial engineering while retaining software, firmware, and data ownership.
• Design architectures that integrate hardware, motion planning, controls, sensing, and perception.
• Develop new capabilities like perception, inspection, and machine tending for the line.
• Incorporate learned skills and models into cells and feed production data back into training.
• Create repeatable cell designs and rollout across lines and facilities.
• Integrate with in-house factory software for real-time data sharing.
• Design fixtures, grippers, end-effectors, and tooling.
