Job description

Job Description Senior Robotics AI Software Engineer
Physical AI Machine Learning Systems Robotics Integration
A cutting-edge engineering and technology organization is building the next generation of intelligent physical systems where machine learning moves beyond simulation and directly impacts real-world robotic platforms. We are seeking a Senior Robotics AI Software Engineer to bridge the gap between machine learning models and the robots, automation systems, and intelligent machines that rely on them.
This is a highly technical, hands-on role for engineers who thrive at the intersection of robotics, machine learning, real-time systems, and industrial automation. You will own the software infrastructure that transforms ML predictions into reliable actions in physical environments, working across perception, controls, robotics middleware, embedded systems, and industrial communication networks.
If you've deployed robotics software in production, integrated AI models into physical systems, or built software that controls hardware operating in the real world, this role offers the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging problems in Physical AI. Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience developing robotics, automation, embedded, or systems software that controls physical hardware
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python
  • Hands‑on experience with ROS or ROS 2, including nodes, services, actions, launch systems, and hardware interfaces
  • Experience integrating robotic systems, industrial automation equipment, or autonomous platforms
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, CANopen, Modbus, or Profinet
  • Experience interfacing with industrial robots from major manufacturers such as FANUC, KUKA, ABB, Universal Robots, Yaskawa, or similar platforms
  • Understanding of kinematics, coordinate systems, robotic motion, and controller integration
  • Experience working with embedded interfaces including SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, and CAN
  • Experience developing software for Linux‑based real‑time systems, RTOS environments, or latency‑sensitive applications
  • Strong debugging skills across software, firmware, networking, and hardware boundaries
  • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and modern software development practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience deploying machine learning inference pipelines into robotics or automation systems
  • Familiarity with TensorRT, ONNX Runtime, TensorFlow Lite, or similar ML deployment frameworks
  • Experience with computer vision systems, OpenCV, camera integration, calibration, or perception pipelines
  • Knowledge of motion control, path planning, trajectory generation, servo systems, or force control
  • Experience with Gazebo, MoveIt, Isaac Sim, digital twins, or robotics simulation environments
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards such as ISO 13849, IEC 61508, or related frameworks
  • Experience in emerging Physical AI, autonomous systems, advanced manufacturing, or robotics startups
  • Master's degree in Robotics, Machine Learning, Computer Engineering, or a related field
What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities: 100% Hands‑On Engineering
  • Design and develop software that connects machine learning models with robotic actuators, motion systems, sensors, and automation equipment
  • Build and maintain ROS 2 infrastructure, middleware, hardware abstraction layers, and device drivers
