Overview

Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Roadway Project Manager to expand our Roadway practice in our Atlanta Midtown office!

Responsibilities

1. Expand our practice and presence in the local market focused on roadway, highway and/or municipal projects.
2. Complex engineering design tasks as well as marketing, client engagement, and the growth of the roadway design practice in local and/or surrounding markets.
3. Managing the design and delivery of projects profitably while being actively engaged in design issues.
4. Leadership responsibilities include:
1. Operating with integrity and sound business principles.
2. Providing vision, business planning and strategy.
3. Establishing goals.
4. Building and maintaining positive client relationships.
5. Having open communication with your partners and team.
6. Growing and leading a roadway practice.
5. Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor.

Qualifications

1. 12+ years of relevant experience managing roadway projects.
2. Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
3. Experience successfully winning and delivering work in the local and/or surrounding areas.
4. Knowledge and experience with the full life cycle of roadway projects.
5. Experience and relationships with local agencies and/or local municipalities.
6. Knowledge in the civil design of local roadways, urban freeways and/or interchanges.
7. Experience with multi-use trails and complete streets projects is preferred.
8. Demonstrated ability to manage roadway projects profitably, while leading a team and collaborating with key stakeholders.
9. Experience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work.
