Job summary

Volkert is seeking an experienced Senior Roadway Engineer and Project Manager for the Gulf Region, based in Mississippi and/or Tennessee. Candidates should be based in or willing to relocate to Mississippi or Tennessee.

You will provide plan review and project management for DOT and municipal projects, coordinate schedules, prepare contracts and approvals, and support financial and regulatory tasks while developing client relations and business opportunities in local municipalities.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 10+ years of experience in roadway design.
• Previous DOT experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proven ability to meet DOT standards, schedules, and budgets.
• Proficiency in OpenRoads; Geopak experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DOT design methods, standards, and specifications.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory MVR.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
