Job summary

DGL Consulting Engineers, LLC is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to enhance our Roadway Department. The role focuses on leading design efforts, applying standard practices, and delivering roadway transportation projects in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will manage multiple tasks, collaborate with senior engineers, and ensure designs meet DOT and local agency standards. A PE license is preferred or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• PE licensure preferred or E.I. with ability to obtain PE within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Act as Project Manager and/or lead design engineer on projects.
• Deliver multiple tasks across engineering leads while meeting deadlines and budgets.
• Design pavement, horizontal/vertical alignment, drainage systems, and BMP design.
• Prepare construction plans, design detailing, and cost estimates.
• Assist with entry-level engineer oversight and task budgeting.
• Participate in client meetings, RFIs, and proposal work.
• Coordinate with roadway department head on progress, schedule, and budget.
• Track deliverables and coordinate with reviewers and engineers.
