Job summary

A leading engineering solutions provider is seeking a Senior / Principal Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Engineer for an 8-month contract role located in Florida. The engineer will lead plant operations and maintenance strategies across RNG and LFGTE facilities, enhancing plant reliability. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 5+ years of experience for Senior or 8+ years for Principal level roles. Comprehensive health benefits and a competitive salary range of $55-$60/hr are provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience for Senior Level or 8+ years for Principal Level in RNG or similar fields.
• Direct experience with RNG or landfill gas operations required.
• Experience supporting commissioning and startup of industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant systems and networks to increase gas yield and uptime.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for equipment issues.
• Develop and optimize maintenance programs across RNG assets.
• Support commissioning, startup, and performance validation.

Skills

Plant operations expertise

Maintenance practices

Experience with CMMS platforms

Leadership in maintenance programs

Familiarity with compressors and gas treatment systems

Six Sigma or continuous improvement

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related)
