Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in San Diego, CA, is seeking an experienced RN to provide direct and indirect nursing care across the continuum of the unit. You will perform the nursing process, assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and work with the care team to maintain safety and quality.

The role includes coordinating transfer and discharge planning, and opportunities to act as relief charge nurse and mentor new nurses. CA RN licensure and BLS are required, ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of nursing school.
• 3 years clinical nursing experience.
• California RN license (CA Board of Registered Nursing) required.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Professionals required.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families.
• Perform the nursing process with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate patient care with other care team members.
• Possibly serve as relief charge nurse and assist with preceptorship.
• Delegates tasks appropriately and ensures care quality and safety.
• Educate patients and families and support transfer/discharge planning.

Education

Graduate of nursing school

3 Years Clinical experience

California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing -REQUIRED

AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - REQUIRED

ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - PREFERRED
