Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is hiring a professional nurse to provide evidence-based care in an assigned clinic specialty. You will perform general and specialized nursing duties as part of a health care team, documenting care in EMR and collaborating with patients, families, and colleagues to achieve optimal outcomes.

You will administer medications, monitor patient responses, and participate in teaching plans and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Texas or ability to transfer.
• A minimum of two years of Staff Nurse experience in a specialty area.
• Preferred: bilingual English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assists with in-office visits and procedures per the provider's order and documents in EMR.
• Administers medications and manages refill requests.
• Reports data and identifies and reports alterations in patientresponses to assist in identifying problems and formulation ofgoals/outcomes and patient-centered plans of care in collaborationwith patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Communicates patient data using EMR to support decision-makingto improve patient care.
• Implements teaching plans for patients and their families withhealth learning needs.
• Attends nurse staff meetings.

Education

RN license in Texas or ability to transfer

Two years Staff Nurse experience in a specialty area
