Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks an Information System Security Officer in Washington, DC, to collaborate with application leads, admins, developers, and testers to ensure security compliance and obtain or maintain Authority to Operate (ATO). The role follows the RMF for full/partial tests, CONMON, and no test scenarios, updating Xacta doc and loading STIG/ACAS artifacts.

• Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and enforcing security policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Proven track record in conducting risk assessments and identifying vulnerabilities.
• Experience in mitigating security risks and responding to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to ensure systems are security compliant and achieve or maintain ATO.
• Follow RMF for full/partial CONMON/no test scenarios and maintain ATO artifacts.
• Update SSPs, SCTMs, STPs, and POAMs in Xacta and load artifacts like STIGs and ACAS scans.
• Help implement STIG checklists and mitigate scan findings.
• Support security assessment events and respond to inquiries from PAT team, ISSMs, and SCAs.
