Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking an applied research engineer for the OpenPipe team to advance continuous learning in production for autonomous agents. You will generate and evaluate research ideas, validate them on real customer tasks, and leverage extensive GPU resources to accelerate development.

You will work across CUDA kernels and LLM tracing dashboards while collaborating with a small, autonomous team in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience in machine learning, or a PhD with 2+ years of relevant industry experience, with a strong focus on model training.
• Strong programming skills in Python and hands on experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
• Strong understanding of LLM post-training techniques, including supervised fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, and on-policy distillation.
• Experience developing, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
• Strong research and problem solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the OpenPipe team by generating and validating research ideas for continuous learning in production.
• Collaborate with broader team to validate research directions across real customer tasks.
• Leverage GPU compute to scale experiments and push the boundaries of self-improving agents.
• Touch various parts of the stack from CUDA to high-performance LLM tracing dashboards.
