Job summary

Agility Robotics seeks an AI Controls Engineer to design, train, and deploy high-rate RL policies for Digit’s locomotion and manipulation. You will integrate perception to enable collision-free, perceptive motion in real-world environments and build scalable training and evaluation pipelines.

The role covers collaboration with on-robot teams to ship production-quality control policies in a fast-paced setting, requiring 4+ years in robotics RL and strong Python/DL skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience developing and deploying RL policies for robotics applications.
• Strong Python skills and PyTorch experience.
• Experience designing reward functions and tuning hyperparameters.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and deploy robust RL policies for locomotion, manipulation, and whole-body control.
• Integrate perception into RL policies for obstacle-aware motion.
• Develop scalable RL infrastructure and evaluation frameworks.
• Collaborate with on-robot software and deployment teams to ship production-quality policies.
