Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to join our Project Controls group in San Francisco, CA. You will act as the risk management SME, developing frameworks, conducting QCRA/QSRA analyses, and maintaining risk registers to guide strategic decisions.

The role requires substantial experience in risk management, project controls, and leadership, with proficiency in risk software and a proven track record of delivering across multiple sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Economics, Finance, or related field.
• 12 years of experience in risk management and project controls.
• Knowledge of risk management standards (ISO 31000, PMI, AACE).
• Experience facilitating quantitative risk analysis (QRA) workshops.
• Experience developing and managing risk models and quantitative analyses.
• Proficiency with cost and schedule risk analysis software.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage diverse teams.
• Ability to prepare risk reports and support decisions.

Responsibilities

• Act as the risk management SME on assigned project and programs.
• Develop and implement risk management framework and strategy.
• Plan, design, and tailor risk processes to client needs and best practices.
• Elicit assumptions and quantify uncertainty with stakeholders.
• Maintain project and program risk registers and quantitative models.
• Conduct QCRA/QSRA analyses to evaluate forecast uncertainty.
• Provide risk reports and assist in contingency planning.
• Train junior risk staff and ensure compliance with policies.
• Travel as required.
