Job summary

Osprey Search Partners is seeking an experienced Risk Manager in New York to lead the Institutional Trading and Prime Services risk program. The role covers market, counterparty credit, and operational risk with direct collaboration to the Head of Risk.

The position is based in Manhattan with a strict 5-day on-site policy; remote work is not offered. Candidates should have 5+ years in broker-dealer risk management, strong knowledge of US & international equities and derivatives, and proficiency

Qualifications

• 5+ years of broker-dealer risk management experience.
• Strong knowledge of US and international equities and derivatives.
• Proficiency with Excel, SQL, and Bloomberg terminals.

Responsibilities

• Provide risk oversight across institutional trading and prime brokerage activities.
• Analyze daily client portfolios, margin requirements and risk limits.
• Conduct pre-trade and ongoing counterparty credit analysis, stress testing and exposure assessments.
• Develop and enhance quantitative risk methodologies, including VaR and margin models.
• Monitor operational risk events and coordinate with Operations for timely resolution.
• Support client onboarding and risk discussions with prospective clients.
• Coordinate governance relating to Market Access Rule and related committees.
