Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the ARC Liability Regional Manager – North America, you will conduct liability exposure analysis and risk improvement consulting for large corporate clients worldwide. Specializing in General and Product Liability within manufacturing, you will provide expert recommendations on risk selection and retention, conduct desk‑top assessments, engage in risk dialogues, and perform on‑site surveys. You will also contribute to the development of casualty products and serve as the primary regional contact for liability risks.
Responsibilities
- Complete desk‑top reviews and risk assessments (pre & post loss) for underwriting, evaluating and summarizing exposures and controls in general and product liability for the product and automotive manufacturing sectors.
- Work with underwriting, claims, the client, and the broker to develop customized loss control programs, including surveyed locations, scope, and cost of risk consulting services.
- Generate and review required reports and recommendations, meeting reporting deadlines in accordance with departmental performance objectives.
- Support Allianz Commercial functions (Underwriting, Claims, Marketing, etc.) by providing scientific and technical insights on current and emerging risks across various industries and technical applications.
- Survey client operations, obtain appropriate data, identify hazards, discuss findings, and generate loss control reports and recommendations.
- Actively contribute to ARC Liability projects that support Allianz Commercial transformation and digitalization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 7 years of professional engineering or consulting experience in process engineering or project development within manufacturing advanced materials, specialty polymers, composites, or specialty chemicals.
- Demonstrable knowledge and skills in engineering product development, production management, supply chain management, regulatory compliance, health and safety systems, environmental management, and occupational hygiene.
- Experience working in risk management and loss prevention processes in industrial operations or in project‑driven environments.
- Knowledge of standardization systems (ISO, API, ASME, etc.) and auditing processes.
- Basic data analytics experience related to loss prevention in the corresponding engineering discipline.
- Master’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry focused on advanced materials, high‑performance polymers, or specialty chemicals; or a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in another area considered in conjunction with extensive technical experience.
- Strong technical writing skills with attention to detail, strong verbal communication abilities, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Competent user of the Office365 environment; understanding of principles of data analytics and keen user of AI agents.
- Ability to utilize AI tools to support day‑to‑day tasks, improve efficiency, and contribute to data‑driven decision‑making.
- Willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role and the broader organization.
- Ability to travel extensively.
