Escape Velocity Entertainment Inc. seeks a Senior Rigger to own character skinning and rigging, build tools for rigging and workflows, and collaborate with Art Directors and Animators.

The role covers Maya and Unreal-based pipelines, including Control Rig and runtime deformations, while maintaining efficient, animator-friendly rigs. The team operates fully remotely, supporting talent nearly anywhere in the world.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Rigging and skinning of a variety of characters using existing tools; develop new tools to improve runtime deformations.
• Work on RBF runtime deformers, runtime physics and other simulated assets.
• Rigs enable animators to deliver high-quality keyframe animation without technical constraints.
• Define workflows and pipelines; improve in-house tools; consider impact on other disciplines.
• Research new techniques and approaches as required.
• Keep pipelines simple and effective.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an ambitious Senior Rigger to join our team. You will assume responsibility for the skinning and rigging of our characters. You will be scripting tools to help you and other Technical Artist and Artists to achieve various creative challenges in more efficient ways. You will work with the Art Director and Animators to understand and meet movement expectations of character designs. You will work in Unreal Engine, working on Rigid Bodies, UE Control Rig. You will be maintaining Character content to be functional both in Maya and Unreal.

What we will do together:

• Rigging and skinning of a wide variety of characters using existing tools and drive the development of new tools to aid and improve runtime deformations.
• Work on RBF runtime deformers, runtime Physics and other simulated assets
• Your rigs will allow animators to deliver high-quality keyframe animation uncompromised by limitations of technical processes.
• Defining workflows and pipelines in consultation with your colleagues and developing and improving in-house tools as needed while remaining aware of the impact of your decisions on other disciplines.
• Researching and developing new techniques, approaches and solutions as required.
• Keeping pipelines simple and effective.
