Job summary
Walt Disney Imagineering seeks a Principal Ride Controls Software Engineer to define and validate deterministic software for large-scale, safety-critical motion control systems. You will design control architectures, perform hazard analyses, and develop detailed design specs while collaborating with executives and cross-functional teams.
The role is based in Glendale, CA, with potential travel and relocation up to 20% for installation, testing, and support.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in the software engineering field.
- Experience with software development tools (IDE, compilers, linkers, debuggers).
- Understanding of C++.
Responsibilities
- Define, analyze, and validate deterministic solutions for large-scale, fail-safe motion control systems.
- System Definition; System Performance Analysis; Control System Architecture; Detailed Design Specifications; Hazard Analysis; Test Strategies and Test Plans.
- Specify, design, and implement operator-intensive, safety-critical control software using real-time operating systems.
- Install, integrate, and test high-capacity, human-rated control systems domestically and overseas.
