ViaSat Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Systems Engineer to lead the development of advanced RF sensing, signal exploitation, communications, and mission systems.

This role serves as a lead system architect translating customer needs into innovative technical solutions across hardware, software, and embedded platforms. You will collaborate across disciplines, guide programs from concept to deployment, and present architectures to leadership and government customers.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Systems Eng or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in defense/aerospace/mission systems.
• Ability to translate customer goals into system concepts and requirements.
• Experience with RF sensing, signal exploitation, or related mission applications.
• Strong knowledge of distributed system architectures.
• Experience leading requirements analysis, allocation, verification, and validation.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsabilidades

• Develop system architectures and roadmaps for advanced mission systems.
• Translate customer objectives into system concepts, requirements, and technical solutions.
• Lead requirements development, allocation, verification, and traceability across subsystems.
• Perform system-level trade studies to evaluate architecture options, risks, and performance.
• Define architectures for communications, RF sensing, signal exploitation, and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, FPGA, embedded systems, and integration teams.
• Support technical planning, solution development, customer engagements, and proposals.
• Present architectures, CONOPS, and design approaches to leadership and government customers.
• Support integration, verification, validation, and demonstrations.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
