Job summary

K2 Space is seeking a hands-on RF/mmWave Post-Silicon Validation Engineer to bring up and characterize highly integrated RF/ mmWave SoCs from first silicon through product integration. You will work with RFIC designers, DSP, firmware, and validation teams to characterize RF performance and develop calibration algorithms.

Responsibilities include building and executing RF characterization plans, debugging complex silicon issues, and helping establish our RF test capability from the ground up.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in RF/mmWave silicon validation or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of RF transceiver architectures (LNAs, PAs, mixers, PLLs).
• Hands-on with RF/mmWave test equipment and calibration techniques.
• Experience building automated characterization environments (Python).
• Ability to debug across silicon, package, PCB, firmware, and test setups.

Responsibilities

• Bring up and characterize RF/mmWave silicon, including TX/RX chains, LNAs, PAs, mixers, LO, PLLs, and RF front ends.
• Develop RF characterization plans across frequency, power, temperature, and modes.
• Measure gain, noise figure, output power, ACLR, EVM, phase noise, and harmonics.
• Build automated RF/mmWave test setups for characterization, regression, and data analysis.
• Collaborate with RFIC designers and systems engineers to align measurements with models.
• Document results, limitations, workarounds, and lessons learned for future generations.
