Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Systems RF/Hardware Engineer in Aurora, CO to troubleshoot, document, and resolve complex system outages. You will collect diagnostic data, analyze results, and implement workarounds to restore operation in accordance with specifications.

The role involves RF ground systems for satellite communications, developing schematics and BOMs, maintaining requirements, and providing system architecture recommendations. Occasional travel and after-hours support may be required.

Qualifications

• You must have a STEM degree and 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience supporting RF ground systems for satellite communications.
• Experience generating and managing requirements.
• RF systems engineering experience including schematics and BOMs.
• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, document, and resolve system outages and issues.
• Collect diagnostic data and document problems for recovery.
• Support data storage, retrieval, and analysis for troubleshooting.
• Use oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers to ensure correct operation.
• Contribute to concept of operations and system architecture recommendations.
• Occasional CONUS/OCONUS travel and after-hours support.
• Work at heights and complete antenna/tower safety training.
