Job summary

Teledyne Paradise Datacom is seeking a Sr. RF Service Technician to diagnose and repair RF/microwave systems, provide senior technical guidance, and support on-site installations worldwide. The role requires an associate degree in electronics and strong troubleshooting, soldering, and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree in electronics or equivalent military/work experience.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot circuits and equipment.
• Experience with microwave, RF, fiber, satellite communications, or related systems preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use documentation, service records, and customer support tools.
• Ability to perform hand soldering of small components.
• Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills with customer service orientation.
• Ability to take directions from senior technicians during training and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex electronic, RF, microwave, power supply, and system-level failures to determine root cause and corrective action.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance to technicians and support personnel during troubleshooting, repair, training, and service activities.
• Support Serial/Ethernet Monitor and Control interfaces used for product operation, diagnostics, configuration, and customer service support.
• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of customer systems and equipment in domestic and international field environments.
• Act as a senior customer-facing technical representative addressing escalated service issues and maintaining professional communication with customers.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Sales, Customer Support, Quality, and Operations to resolve technical issues and support product improvements.
• Create and maintain service records, troubleshooting notes, failure analysis details, and repair documentation.
• Identify common failure trends and recommend repair process improvements to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate, evaluate and report on customer field returns.
