Job summary

Peraton seeks a highly skilled RF SME to join our team in Chantilly, VA. The role focuses on risk analysis, security strategies, and counterintelligence support across communications systems and infrastructure.

The candidate will analyze technical devices and networks, develop mitigations, and prepare formal briefings for sponsors. Ideal candidates have extensive RF experience, familiarity with TEMPEST/ NLJD concepts, and strong communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI with Poly.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; 4 years additional experience may substitute for degree.
• At least 10 years of engineering/secure-environment experience.
• Experience with computer software/hardware and telecom networks; familiarity with network security.
• RF communications technologies and protocols; knowledge of potential CI concerns.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and spectrum management.
• Experience prioritizing analytic requests.
• Demonstrated effective communication with team, sponsors, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial security risk analysis using quantitative and qualitative approaches and document methodology and results.
• Develop and execute advanced security strategies to protect systems and data from evolving threats.
• Recommend system enhancements to address security deficiencies.
• Conduct technical and all-source analyses to identify foreign intelligence threats in telecom, network, and data security.
• Research, analyze, and exploit data from various sources to support counterintelligence operations.
• Perform technical analysis of communications systems to ensure security criteria and provide mitigations and countermeasure requirements.
• Coordinate with research engineers and customer representatives to resolve system issues.
