Job summary

IERUS Technologies in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team that designs, builds, tests, and delivers antennas, phased array antennas, RF electronics, and RF measurements. You will interact with customers to scope solutions.

Requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering, RF system modeling/analysis, radar or communications signal processing, and proficiency with MATLAB and Python.

IERUS participates in projects that address weapon systems engineering and the application of advanced machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques as well as RF/Optical hardware prototyping and low rate production. We generally seek to apply agile development fundamentals across our corporate portfolio to accelerate technology development timelines. The end goal being early discovery, accelerated development, and high customer engagement.

The primary responsibilities of this position are working with multidisciplinary team to design, manufacture, test, and deliver antennas, phased array antennas, RF electronics, and RF measurements. Interact with current and potential customers to scope solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen;
• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field;
• Experience in RF system modeling and analysis;
• Experience in radar and/or communications signal processing;
• Experience in technology principles, theories and concepts in the electrical, electromechanical, systems design, test and integration, and system qualification;
• Experience using MATLAB and/or Python;
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team environment; and
• Strong communication skills, including ability to describe complex technical concepts to both SMEs and non-technical people.

Desired Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field;
• Experience with tools such as Feko, HFSS, or related software;
• Experience with FPGA development;
• Strong skills using MATLAB and/or Python;
• Ability to research literature to determine state-of-the‑art, apply recent research, and extend to new applications;
• Transfer customer requirements into program execution; and
• Active Secret clearance or higher.
