Job summary

Apple Inc. seeks an experienced AMS Design Engineer to develop transistor-level analog/mixed-signal designs for Apple Silicon across process nodes.

You will lead feasibility studies, design blocks, verify with simulations and drive layout integration while coordinating test plans and lab validation with a hands-on approach. You should bring a strong track record in silicon IP delivery, detailed device physics understanding, and experience with top-level verification methods and modeling in

Qualifications

• BS and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong device physics knowledge as it applies to analog IC design.
• Strong track record of delivering silicon IPs with complete architecture, design, verification and validation experience.
• In-depth knowledge of bandgaps, bias, opamps, switched-cap circuits, LDOs, low power oscillators, PLLs, VGAs, feedback and compensation techniques.
• Experience in C/Matlab/VerilogA/Python modeling.
• Hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators to validate analog designs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct transistor-level feasibility study for various Analog/Mixed-Signal circuit blocks.
• Design blocks and document design simulation and verification towards formal design reviews.
• Drive mask design to implement layout views and drive layout reviews.
• Run post-layout and top-level simulations to verify top-level integration.
• Define production and bench-level test plans.
• Take lab measurements to validate performance against specs.
• Drive and review yield/lab test results for bug fixes.
