Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Board-certified/eligible Ophthalmologist in Chico, CA, to diagnose, treat, and manage retinal diseases with advanced surgical skills. The position emphasizes patient care, research involvement, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The role welcomes both experienced physicians and recent graduates who are passionate about retina care and advancing the field through innovative treatments and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in ophthalmology.
• Fellowship training in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery recommended.
• Experienced and recent graduate physicians welcome to apply.
• Excellent surgical and diagnostic skills with ability to manage complex cases.
• Strong communication with patients, families and healthcare professionals.
• Experience in clinical research and contribution to retina specialty.
• Valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and managing diseases of the retina, macula, and vitreous.
• Performing specialized retinal surgeries (e.g., detachments, AMD, diabetic retinopathy).
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create care plans.
• Educating patients on disease management and healthy lifestyles.
• Participating in clinical research and retina publications/presentations.
• Staying updated on advancements in retina care.
• Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and patient safety.
