Your contributions will directly impact the safety, performance, and longevity of buildings, while providing opportunities to mentor colleagues, influence project strategies, and shape the technical excellence and growth of our team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on‑site assessments, documenting existing conditions, taking measurements, and interpreting findings firsthand.
  • Perform and review structural analysis and engineering calculations (hand and software‑based) for repair, stabilization, or strengthening design.
  • Prepare, review, and sign off on technical reports that summarize investigation procedures, engineering evaluations, and recommendations.
  • Lead the preparation of repair design documents, including drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project details.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and internal teammates on project approach, design solutions, budgets, and schedules.
  • Play an active role in client communication, proposal development, and business development.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance for junior engineers.
  • Conduct construction administration services, including submittal reviews and responses to RFIs.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in building envelope evaluations, façade and roofing investigations, structural or building science assessments, or repair/retrofit design.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA, AIA) strongly preferred; ability to mentor junior staff on licensure path.
  • Proven experience leading technical investigations, developing repair designs, and managing client relationships.
  • Strong technical communication skills, including report writing, client presentations, and peer review.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with structural analysis or modeling software.
  • Ability and willingness to perform field work, including accessing roofs, climbing ladders, scaffolding, and swing stages. Some travel may be required.
