Job summary

Apploi is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist for a long-term care facility in Tennessee. You will assess and treat patients with cardio-pulmonary conditions, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with nursing and rehabilitation staff to deliver comprehensive respiratory care in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

This full-time role requires strong communication, leadership, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of the respiratory community and clinical practices.
• Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care protocols.
• Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains systems to enhance the facility's respiratory care.
• Overlap with nursing to meet OBRA requirements and ensure quality data entry.
• Monitor departmental revenue, productivity, and budget performance.
• Provide patient evaluations, treatment plans, and physician approvals.
• Educate and orient new staff; lead in-service training.
• Maintain safety and proper operation of respiratory therapy equipment.
