Job summary

Bristol Health in Bristol, CT is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care according to an established plan of care, including complex treatments and ventilator management. You will perform patient assessments, monitor clinical pathways, and document care in a timely, accurate manner.

The role requires NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Connecticut license, at least one year of experience, and strong communication, analytical and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two year AMA approved Associate or Bachelor's level program.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Connecticut State License.
• Strong communication and computer skills are required.
• One year minimum experience in respiratory care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides respiratory care per established plan of care.
• Performs patient assessments using chart review, bedside spirometry, and examinations.
• Demonstrates clinical problem solving and patient prioritization.
• Monitors patients for variances and adheres to standards of care.
• Documents care and patient outcomes clearly and promptly.
• Collaborates with physicians and care team to implement interventions.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and policy development.
