Job summary

PIH Health Whittier Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide comprehensive respiratory care for patients across all ages, from newborns to seniors, in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires applying clinical knowledge to assess patient status, interpret data, and deliver treatments in line with department policies. You will collaborate with care teams to address biophysical, psychological, educational, and environmental needs of patients and families.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of principles of growth and development from newborn to geriatric patient population.
• Ability to assess data reflective of patient status and interpret information needed to identify patient requirements.
• Ability to provide care indicated with respect to department policy and procedures.
• Utilizes the approved process to resolve biophysical, psychological educational, and environmental needs of the patient/significant other when administering care.

Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for the respiratory management, treatment, control and care of patients with respiratory deficiencies.
