Job summary

Progress Foundation’s Seniors Program in San Francisco seeks a Counselor to support adults over 60 across two transitional residential treatment houses (Rypins House and Carroll House) and the day treatment program for seniors. You will work under the Program Director and assist clients with treatment and rehabilitation needs.

Responsibilities include intake interviews, group and individual counseling, treatment plan development, coordination of activities, discharge planning, and maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; substitution with relevant experience considered.
• Must communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Basic word processing skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Promote the philosophy of social rehabilitation within residential treatment.
• Conduct intake interviews and provide group, individual, and family counseling.
• Develop and implement treatment plans; coordinate activities and discharge planning.
• Maintain clinical records and liaise with therapists and related programs.
• Perform minor household repair and cleaning tasks as needed.
• Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including some weekend and overnight shifts.
