Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot a wide range of electrical needs and lead larger jobs such as panel and service upgrades, EV charger installations, and rewires.
• Mentor and train junior technicians.
• Interact with homeowners to deliver the Mr. Electric customer experience.
• Present options and recommendations during Home Safety Check and gain approval to proceed.

Here are Your Responsibilities as a Senior Residential Electrician at Mr. Electric

As a Senior Residential Service Electrician, you are a key member of our team. Our customers look to your expertise to help solve their issues and build confidence that their home will be safe.

Here are the primary responsibilities for this position:

• You will help customers with a wide range of electrical needs, from repairs to major installations. This includes complex troubleshooting and leading larger jobs such as panel and service upgrades, EV charger installations, and rewires. Experience as a residential service electrician is a must!
• You may mentor and help train newer team members.
• You are the face of Mr. Electric and will be interacting with the homeowner to deliver the customer service that Mr. Electric is known for.
• Selling is half of this role. You will run the Home Safety Check, present customers with clear options and recommendations, including To-Do List options and the Advantage Plan, and earn their approval to move forward, so they can make confident decisions for their home.
• You ensure the safety of both yourself and the people you serve, leaving their homes safer than when you first walked in. You'll identify and present opportunities and solutions to the customer to ensure the safety of their family and property.

Job Requirements

The following are the minimum requirements for the Senior Residential Electrician position.

• California DIR Certified General or Residential Electrician(current certification card required; electrician trainees are not eligible for this position)
• Minimum 5 years of prior professional-level electrical experience, including at least 3 years in residential service and troubleshooting, with hands‑on experience in panel and service upgrades.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred:

• Sales or customer-consultation experience (for example, presenting options and recommendations to homeowners)

Pay and Benefits

The starting pay range for our Senior Residential Electrician is $30.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on your level of experience.

Our techs are paid a base hourly fee PLUS incentives based on performance, additional work performed, and overall job profitability.
