Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of Northern FO is seeking a Construction Site Manager to lead multiple residential sites, mentor site supervisors, and ensure safety and quality across projects. The role emphasizes hands-on field support, coordination of schedules, and collaboration with volunteers, sponsors, and trade partners.

The position reports to the Construction Manager, requires strong residential construction experience, and involves typical full-time hours with some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of residential construction experience.
• Ability to mentor staff, volunteers, and partner families in safe and effective ways.
• Demonstrated leadership supervising staff, crews, volunteers, or subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Working knowledge of residential building codes, construction methods, and jobsite safety practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, delegation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to Site Supervisors and Crew Leads to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent project execution.
• Develop and deliver training on construction methods, volunteer engagement, job site leadership, safety practices, and Habitat standards.
• Implement and enforce construction standards, quality expectations, building codes, and safety policies.
• Coach Site Supervisors on prioritization, resource allocation, problem‑solving, and resolution of field challenges that may impact schedule or quality.
• Coordinate with workforce development programs and external training partners.
• Serve as backup to Site Supervisors as needed to ensure continuity of site operations.
