ParadigmWorks Group Inc and Hartford Job Corps Center is seeking a Third Shift Senior Residential Advisor to plan, supervise and coordinate dorm living operations for residential students aged 17-24 in Hartford, CT. Responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring shift coverage, maintaining safety and records, training and mentoring, and promoting employability skills among students.

Qualifications require a HS diploma (or equivalent), two years of youth experience, and a valid driver's

• Valid driver's license with good driving record

Responsibilities

• Supervise Residential Advisors and ensure shifts are covered and payroll-ready
• Arrive on time and cover absences when necessary
• Create an environment that supports independent living skills for students
• Assist new students in acclimating to dorm life
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment
• Conduct room checks and monitor student movements
• Keep accurate records and case notes; maintain logs
• Mediate disputes and escalate serious incidents promptly
• Participate in daily briefings to communicate dorm issues
• Model employability skills: attitude, dependability, teamwork
• Screen and interview Residential staff applicants; train existing staff
• Distribute dorm supplies and materials

ParadigmWorks Group Inc and Hartford Job Corps Center is seeking a Third Shift Senior Residential Advisor who will plan, supervise and coordinate residential living operations for residential students aged 17-24.

Responsibilities include

• Supervise Residential Advisors. Ensure shifts are worked and time records are accurate and approved in time for payroll processing.
• Arrive to work on time and cover absences when necessary.
• Cultivate an environment that allows students to learn and practice independent living skills.
• Assist new students in acclimating to dorm life.
• Provide a safe, secure, clean, and attractive living environment that is appropriate to varied needs and levels of maturity.
• Conduct room checks. Monitor the comings and goings of students.
• Keep accurate records, enter case notes, ensure logs are maintained accurately.
• Listen, pay attention, step in and mediate to ensure disputes are quickly resolved.
• Promptly report serious incidents to leadership.
• Participate in daily brief-ins and brief-outs to ensure student and dorm issues are communicated between shifts.
• Model and reinforce social and employability skills, such as positive attitude, dependability, and teamwork.
• Screen and interview and recommend for hire Residential staff applicants.
• Train Res Advisors and ensure existing staff are kept up to date and trained on new procedures.
• Distribute dorm supplies and materials.
