Job summary

M&J Engineering P.C. is seeking a Resident Engineer in Fairfax, Virginia to serve as the senior onsite representative for project management. The candidate will oversee construction engineering and inspection services, ensuring compliance with VDOT standards and managing project staff effectively.

The ideal applicant will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, a PE license in Virginia, and at least 10–15 years of relevant experience, particularly in transportation projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in transportation construction management or inspection.
• Experience managing CEI teams on VDOT or comparable highway or bridge projects.
• Thorough knowledge of VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior on-site representative and liaison with VDOT and contractors.
• Manage and administer Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services.
• Direct and supervise project staff including engineers and inspectors.
