Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Lead Reservoir Engineer to spearhead exploration and development initiatives. The role requires strategic thinking to optimize production and manage reservoir assets while leading a team of engineers and collaborating with geoscientists and drilling professionals.

The position emphasizes directing subsurface evaluations, resource estimation, EOR deployment, and long-term development planning to maximize hydrocarbon recovery and economic value.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or related geoscience field.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas E&P industry.
• Expertise in reservoir simulation, static and dynamic modelling, and uncertainty analysis.
• Strong understanding of petrophysics, sedimentology, and structural geology.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing technical teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, comfortable interfacing with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation of new exploration opportunities, including prospectivity assessment and resource estimation using advanced reservoir characterization techniques.
• Develop and manage long-term reservoir development plans, forecasting production profiles and economic viability.
• Oversee implementation of EOR methods and production optimization strategies.
• Mentor and guide junior reservoir engineers, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and potential partners.
• Collaborate with geological and drilling teams to integrate data and ensure efficient well placement and completion design.
