Job summary

Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Weissbourd Lab in Cambridge seeks a Senior Research Support Associate to support cutting‑edge biology and neuroscience research.

You will conduct laboratory experiments (microscopy, cloning, RNA work), contribute to computational biology by developing imaging pipelines, and help with behavior studies.

You will also assist engineering efforts to build new microscopy and behavior recording setups and document work for reproducibility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments (microscopy, molecular biology techniques, behavior experiments, and generating transgenic jellyfish by microinjection of oocytes).
• Develop imaging processing pipelines to accompany new microscopes and solve machine vision problems for behavior tracking; analyze neural activity/behavior data.
• Build novel microscopy and/or behavior recording setups.
