Job summary

Reality Labs at Meta is hiring researchers to bring capabilities of generative vision and language models to resource constrained settings. The team focuses on AI and compute across smart glasses and VR headsets, combining fundamental research with technology development.

The ideal candidate has a PhD with published ML/vision-language work, 7+ years leading research with impact, and strong skills in PyTorch or TensorFlow, Python or C/C++, and mobile optimization.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or related field with published projects in machine learning and vision-language models.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of leadership in research projects with industry-wide impact.
• Proven development skills in deep learning with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience developing DL models or infrastructure in Python or C/C++.
• Experience in DL, CV, language models, ML or AI.
• First-authored publications at peer-reviewed conferences (ICLR, ICML, CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS).
• Experience with CPU/GPU and mobile optimization.
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs and diverse viewpoints to determine a path forward.
