We are dedicated to reducing health disparities and inequities through community-based, participatory research, implementation science, and rigorous evaluation. Our scientists examine risk factors and outcomes from the micro through to macro levels, with a goal of understanding the specific impacts of policies on health and transforming public policy.
PIRE is seeking senior level investigators and evaluators to join our Southwest Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This opportunity is open to senior level investigators and evaluators who are positioned to substantially contribute to the Southwest Center’s growing portfolio, including research focused on alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, public health policy, eliminating health disparities, health care services and systems change, criminal justice, international health and development, educational research and program evaluation, and state and community partnerships and evaluation. We welcome all applicants and are particularly seeking applicants that will expand our health equities research, with special emphasis on mixed-methods research and a focus on minority, disparate, or underserved populations (e.g., American Indian/Alaska Native, women, rural, or LGBTQ populations).
