Job summary

Google Research is seeking a Research Scientist to advance computer vision, generative AI, and ML at scale. You will setup large-scale tests, prototype new architectures, and publish findings with collaborations across universities and institutes.

The role emphasizes applying theory to real-world problems, developing architectures, and delivering voiceable products, with opportunities to contribute to advertising and commerce initiatives and to mentor junior researchers.

Qualifications

• PhD in CS or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in computer vision.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, generative AI and machine learning.
• At least one publication submission to major conferences/journals.

Responsibilities

• Research and production engineering in computer goals, graphics, and generative AI at scale.

• Drive in agentic systems and development workflows.
• Mentor interns and collaborate closely with cross-functional team members to deliver research, models, and products.

Minimum qualifications:

• PhD in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in computer vision.
• Experience with C++, Python, generative AI, and machine learning.
• One or more scientific publication submission(s) for conferences, journals, or public repositories (such as CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year of experience leading research efforts and influencing other researchers.
• Experience with 3D human modeling.
