Job summary

Indiana University is recruiting a faculty-level researcher to advance cutting-edge MRI technologies, including cardiovascular and interventional MRI, within the Medical Imaging Research Center of the IU School of Medicine.

The position will support interdisciplinary teams, drive impactful science for next-generation diagnostics and therapies, and contribute to the department’s ongoing research initiatives across Indiana and beyond.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in electrical/biomedical engineering or medical physics.
• Experience in medical imaging research and development.
• Strong publication record in relevant fields.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research to develop MRI technologies and pulse sequences for radiology and imaging sciences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and refine cardiovascular and interventional MRI techniques.
• Develop testing procedures to evaluate performance and reliability of MRI methodologies.
• Stay updated with advances in science and technology relevant to the field.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
• Assist in preparation of technical documents, patents, and publications.
• Present at conferences, workshops, and training sessions.
