Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Senior Research Investigator for the Lab of Dr. Christine Eischen. The role leads fundamental activities in sponsored science, mentoring staff and coordinating multiple projects in a collaborative academic setting.

You will shape project priorities, supervise day-to-day experiments and contribute to grant writing with the PI. The position requires a doctorate in biology/biomedical sciences and at least five years of lab management experience.

Qualifications

• PhD in biology/biomedical sciences or related field.
• 5+ years of lab management experience.
• Oversee scientific collaborations and reagent needs.
• Lead multiple projects and manage personnel in the lab.
• Prepare oral and written reports and assist with grant applications.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with staff and aligns with Jefferson values.
• Develops strategic plans and defines project objectives and timelines.
• Designs and implements complex experiments and oversees staff execution.
• Trains and supervises lab personnel in procedures and SOPs.
• Ensures biosafety compliance and data integrity; communicates results for meetings and publications.
