Job summary

The College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Louisville seeks a highly organized, service-oriented Research Events Coordinator to support its vibrant portfolio of research, scholarly, and community-engaged programming.

This role coordinates events hosted by A&S research centers and institutes, bringing together faculty, students, visiting scholars, community partners, and the public through impactful conferences, symposia, lectures, workshops, and outreach activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrated education/experience is required.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience coordinating events, programs, or administrative operations.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects and coordinate across diverse stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating events in a higher education setting.
• Experience supporting hybrid and virtual events.

Responsibilities

• Lead Event Planning and Coordination for conferences, lectures, workshops, and community-engaged events.
• Coordinate logistics for events, and develop annual calendars and planning timelines.
• Manage multiple concurrent events, balancing priorities and resources.
• Serve as primary contact for faculty, institute leadership, external guests, and partners.
• Provide on-site support including hybrid/virtual event coordination.
• Develop event planning procedures, templates, and workflows to improve operations.
• Coordinate event promotions, invitations, and marketing materials.

Associate's Degree in related field
