Job summary

Revolution Medicines, Inc. is seeking a skilled DMPK laboratory scientist to develop LC-MS/MS methods and analyze in vivo and in vitro samples supporting ADME and pharmacokinetic studies.

You will handle tumor tissues and various matrices, perform data analysis, and maintain LC-MS/MS instruments in a dynamic NDCP environment. The role requires 3–5+ years of industry experience with LC-MS/MS, HPLC/UPLC method development, and strong organizational skills in a fast-paced team setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences or related field with 5+ years (BS) or 3+ years (MS) in industry.
  • Hands-on experience operating and maintaining LC-MS/MS systems.
  • LC-MS/MS method development and bioanalytical analysis experience.
  • Knowledge of biological sample preparation and extraction for LC-MS/MS.
  • Hands-on experience in HPLC/UPLC method development.
  • Ability to customize and follow established assay protocols.
  • Ability to manage multiple lab and project tasks efficiently.
  • Team-oriented, flexible and highly organized with good record-keeping.
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop LC-MS/MS methods and analyze samples for ADME, PK, efficacy, and toxicokinetic studies.
  • Handle tissues including tumors from homogenization to bioanalysis prep.
  • Perform data analysis, prepare result reports, and upload data to electronic notebooks.
  • Conduct in vitro ADME/DMPK assays in matrices (hepatocytes, microsomes, blood, plasma).
  • Support lab operations, including safety, LC-MS/MS instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.

The Opportunity:

As a key member of our dynamic DMPK lab team within DMPK under the non-clinical development and clinical pharmacology (NDCP) department, you will have responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Develop LC-MS/MS methods and analyze in vivo and in vitro samples to support ADME, pharmacokinetic, efficacy, and toxicokinetic studies, etc.
  • Handle a variety of tissues, including tumors, from tissue homogenization through sample preparation for bioanalysis.
  • Perform data analysis, prepare experimental result reports, and upload data to electronic notebooks.
  • Conduct in vitro ADME/DMPK assays in biological matrices, including hepatocytes, microsomes, blood, and plasma, ect.
  • Support laboratory operations, including lab safety, LC-MS/MS instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences or a related scientific discipline, with 5+ years of industry experience for bachelor’s degree holders or 3+ years for master’s degree holders.
  • Hands‑on experience in operating and maintaining LC-MS/MS systems.
  • Hands‑on experience in LC-MS/MS method development and bioanalytical analysis.
  • Knowledge of biological sample preparation and extraction techniques for downstream LC-MS/MS analysis.
  • Hands‑on experience in HPLC/UPLC method development.
  • Ability to customize and follow established assay protocols.
  • Ability to manage multiple laboratory and project tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work effectively in a flexible, team‑oriented environment.
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with excellent record‑keeping skills and the ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Previous hands‑on experience in SCIEX QTRAP mass spectrometers.
  • Previous hands‑on experiences on bioanalytical method development in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Working experience in DMPK lab.

The base pay salary range for this full‑time position for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA is listed below. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the base pay salary range for an individual working onsite in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based in. Our base pay salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual base pay salary is determined by multiple factors, including job‑related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
