Job summary

Bayside Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled bioanalytical scientist to develop LC-MS/MS methods and analyze in vivo and in vitro samples. The role involves tissue handling from homogenization to prep for bioanalysis and data reporting in electronic notebooks.

The candidate will perform in vitro ADME/DMPK assays across biological matrices and support instrument maintenance and troubleshooting in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in pharmaceutical sciences or related discipline with 5+ years (Bachelor) or 3+ years (Master) in industry.
• Hands-on experience operating and maintaining LC-MS/MS systems.
• Experience in LC-MS/MS method development and bioanalytical analysis.
• Knowledge of sample preparation and extraction techniques for LC-MS/MS.
• Hands-on experience in HPLC/UPLC method development.
• Ability to follow established assay protocols and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work in a flexible, team-oriented environment with strong recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Develop LC-MS/MS methods and analyze samples to support ADME and PK/TK studies.
• Handle tissues and perform tissue homogenization and sample prep for bioanalysis.
• Analyze data, prepare results reports, and upload to electronic notebooks.
• Conduct in vitro ADME/DMPK assays in hepatocytes, microsomes, blood, and plasma.
• Support lab operations, including LC-MS/MS instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.

Job description

Location: Redwood City, CA - Onsite Role

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop LC-MS/MS methods and analyze in vivo and in vitro samples to support ADME, pharmacokinetic, and toxicokinetic studies, etc.
• Handle a variety of tissues, including tumors, from tissue homogenization through sample preparation for bioanalysis.
• Perform data analysis, prepare experimental result reports, and upload data to electronic notebooks.
• Conduct in vitro ADME/DMPK assays in biological matrices, including hepatocytes, microsomes, blood, and plasma.
• Support laboratory operations, including LC-MS/MS instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in pharmaceutical sciences or a related scientific discipline, with 5+ years of industry experience for bachelor's degree holders or 3+ years for master's degree holders.
• Hands-on experience in operating and maintaining LC-MS/MS systems.
• Hands-on experience in LC-MS/MS method development and bioanalytical analysis.
• Knowledge of biological sample preparation and extraction techniques for downstream LC-MS/MS analysis.
• Hands-on experience in HPLC/UPLC method development.
• Ability to customize and follow established assay protocols.
• Ability to manage multiple laboratory and project tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work effectively in a flexible, team-oriented environment.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent recordkeeping skills and the ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous hands-on experience in SCIEX QTRAP and Thermo Q Exactive mass spectrometers.
• Previous hands-on experiences in bioanalytical method development in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Working experience in the DMPK lab.
