Brown University’s Center for Alcohol & Addiction Studies is seeking a Senior Research Assistant to support grant-funded research on behavioral and pharmacological interventions for obesity and smoking. The role includes recruitment, consent, tracking, data management, and IRB materials, with a three-day onsite expectation in a hybrid setting.

The ideal candidate has a BA/related field and 3–5 years of experience, strong MS Office skills, and coursework in research methods and statistics.

Formación

Bachelor’s Degree in related field with 3-5 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
Coursework in research design and statistics with ability to conduct basic data analysis is preferred.
Coursework in addiction, substance abuse and/or psychopharmacology is preferred.
Experience working with online surveys (e.g., Qualtrics software) is preferred.
Experience managing databases is preferred.
Proficiency in Endnote or other bibliographic database is preferred.
Experience with human subjects applications and modifications is preferred.

Responsabilidades

Support participant recruitment, consenting, tracking and retention; implement study protocols and facilitate project communications.
Assist with organization and maintenance of project documents and files; conduct library research as needed.
Assemble materials for IRB modifications and progress reports.
Contribute to data management and basic data analyses as needed.
