Sedgwick is hiring a Professional Liability Claims Advisor (Remote) to adjudicate complex medical malpractice and professional liability claims. You will investigate, evaluate coverage, and coordinate with defense counsel to deliver strategic resolutions for high-exposure files.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of medical malpractice and professional liability claims management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; professional certification as applicable.
• Strong investigation and analytical skills required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and adjudicate complex MedMal and professional liability claims.
• Investigate claims and prepare detailed reports.
• Negotiate settlements up to authorized limits.
• Set and monitor reserves; ensure reserve adequacy.
• Advise on coverage and provide formal opinions.
• Coordinate defense by selecting counsel and monitoring invoices.
• Identify cost-control opportunities and negotiate vendor partnerships.
• Mentor teammates and share best practices.
