Warrior Insurance Network in Illinois is seeking an experienced Litigation Claims Specialist to manage litigated auto claims and complex injury claims, including investigations, coverage determinations and settlements.

The role requires strong negotiation, regulatory compliance and coordination with defense counsel; competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and growth opportunities are offered. Compensation ranges from $75k to $100k depending on experience and location.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of auto claims handling experience.
• 5 years minimum auto claims experience for remote work consideration.
• Knowledge of legal and medical terminology.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass written examinations to become a licensed claim adjuster.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigation claims in accordance with established procedures.
• Determine coverage and draft reservations of rights letters.
• Conduct prompt investigations with statements, police reports, medical records and appraisals.
• Manage litigation by coordinating with defense counsel and experts.
• Maintain diaries on open files and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Research and interpret case law, statutes, and coverage forms to adjust claims.
• Evaluate use of experts and field investigators as needed.
• Maintain and document all claim activity per regulations and policies.
• Prepare and present claim evaluations to secure settlement authority.
• Establish indemnity and expense reserves.
• Conduct onsite review of defense counsel as required by management.
• Adhere to Department of Insurance rules specific to the loss state.
