Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is a technology consulting and software development company delivering cloud, AI, data, and enterprise solutions across the United States. The company seeks an Apache Kafka Developer to architect, deploy, and operate large-scale Kafka environments on a 100% remote basis in the U.S.

The role requires 6+ years of experience, strong DevOps/SRE practices, and expertise with Confluent Platform, Kafka Connect, and security.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
5+ years of experience operating Apache Kafka or Confluent Platform in production.
Deep knowledge of Kafka internals (partitions, replication, ISRs, consumer groups).
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and observability tools.

Responsibilities

Architect, deploy, and operate large-scale Kafka and Confluent platform environments.
Own the Kafka platform end-to-end including sizing, configuration, security, automation, observability, and developer enablement.
Partner with application teams to deliver reliable, performant streaming platforms and raise the bar through code/design reviews.
