Job summary

VoltaGrid is looking for a Relay & Power System Technician in Abilene, Texas. This role involves installing, testing, and repairing electrical protection relays and controls for Medium Voltage systems. Candidates should have extensive experience in the power generation industry and knowledge of electrical breakers, switchgear, and control systems.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong troubleshooting skills and can assist with commissioning new equipment as well as provide support to existing systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years’ experience in the power generation/distribution industry.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical breakers and switchgear.
• Significant experience with Medium Voltage distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and test new electrical protection relays and controls.
• Troubleshoot and repair existing control systems.
• Assist engineering with the creation of as-built schematics.
