Responsibilities

• Provide escalated operational support to Branch Leadership and the team, including opening/closing the branch and overrides.
• Assist in overseeing day-to-day work, scheduling, training, and coaching.
• Conduct meetings with members as Financial Wellness Coach to set goals and advise on debt, credit, and mortgage needs.
• Perform sales, service and operations tasks, processing deposits, transfers, loans, and account maintenance.
• Handle complex member inquiries including fiduciary accounts and power of attorney.
• Educate members on self-service and digital options like mobile app and website.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Senior Relationship Banker drives branch success through exceptional member service, strong sales performance, and operational support. This role develops future leaders while maintaining a focus on member engagement and financial solutions. Senior Relationship Bankers build relationships through consultative conversations, identify needs, and recommend products. They handle complex transactions and support various branch functions with flexibility. As informal leaders, Sr RBs mentor peers, assist with training, and support management in coaching. They consistently model service excellence, ensure compliance, and foster a positive team culture.

This role is eligible for a language stipend of $200/monthly after 90 days of employment.

Salary range: $21.42 - $28.12/hour. Job Grade NE-10. Salary dependent on candidate's experience and qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years of similar retail banking experience

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT:

This job requires the employee to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Infrequent lifting up to 25 lbs.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must comply with all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). Must be able to obtain license through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) and notary public certification.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES AND TASKS:

1.Provide escalated operational support to Branch Leadership and the team, including but not limited to opening and closing the branch, transactional overrides, de-escalating member complaints, and maintaining engagement of the team in the absence of a leader.

2.Assist in overseeing the day-to-day work of others, including scheduling, training, mentoring, and coaching. Demonstrates excellent people smarts and elevated decision making as well as expertise in policy and procedure.

3.Obtains training in Financial Coaching. Conduct meetings with members as their Financial Wellness Coach, responsible for helping members set meaningful financial goals, navigate personal financial challenges, and build sustainable habits that lead to long-term financial freedom. Understands credit scores and reporting and can adequately navigate them for sales opportunities. Advise our members in the areas of debt management, credit advancement, mortgage, and overall financial well-being.

4.Performs sales, service and operational functions in the branch. Delivers unsurpassed service that builds long-term member loyalty while effectively assisting with member interactions. Processes a variety of transactions promptly, accurately, and efficiently to include deposits, transfers, withdrawals, opening and/or performing maintenance on new accounts, IRAs, CDs, loans, etc. in accordance with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

5.Handles routine to complex member inquires such as business, fiduciary accounts, power of attorneys. Review and approve fiduciary documents for compliance. Resolves members' requests, problems, and complaints or directs them to the appropriate person or department for information and assistance.

6.Provide escalated operational support to Branch Leadership and the team, including but not limited to opening and closing the branch, transactional overrides, supervisor approvals, de-escalating member complaints, and maintaining engagement of the team in the absence of a leader. Educate and support members on the usage of self-service and digital options such as the Vantage West mobile App, VantageWest.org, and ITMs to complete transactions and service needs.

7.Partners with Wealth Managers, Business Bankers, and Mortgage Loan Officers to connect members to experts who can help them with specialized financial needs.

8.Strategically build and optimize your network and pipeline to meet or exceed monthly performance metrics through outbound calls, networking, and visiting local businesses promoting Vantage West @ Work. Attend events representing Vantage West, including sponsorships, community outreach, and financial wellness. Support community relationships on an as-needed basis.

9.Actively seek and apply feedback to improve performance and member experience.

10.Performs other duties as assigned.
